Yuhl Building History

Mike Yuhl created a consulting engineering firm of Yuhl & Associates in 1972. While looking for larger office space, Colleen and Mike found a piece of property and purchased it in 1976. The dream turned into a challenge when Mike and his family decided to create a poured-in-place concrete and steel structure office building.

Mike enrolled his children into the “University of Real Life” and it took 8 years before the last tenant space was completed and Scott Yuhl, the oldest son could graduate from the project, who then later became a specialist in his field of concrete construction.

The building became a 20,982 square foot, leasable, multi-story building, on a single parcel of land in which the design and development of the construction would co-exist, using the existing landscape and trees in a single project, mutually benefiting one another.

This was a new concept in real estate development, when clear cutting was common practice, and ecological responsibility was not well known.

They believed in a better way of land development and set out on the task that would take them seven years to complete. In 1987 their goal was realized with the completion of a five story poured in-place concrete and steel structure that co-existed with the land. They owned and operated the Yuhl Building until 2014 when Tri-landmark, LLC purchased it.

The Yuhl Building, located in Bellevue, Washington, is proudly owned by Tri-Landmark, LLC and managed by Titan Electric, Inc.
